Welcome to this tour of Kusadasi, Heriapolis, and the iconic and historical Silk Road. It is a very old route that connected East and West. It connected Asia with Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. It was not just a road but also a path of exchange, exchange of cultures, and exchange of goods. It is said that this trade route came into being in the second century B.C.E, during the reign of the Han Dynasty in China. It continued until the 19th century CE. Throughout history, it played an important role in the development of the socio-economic and cultural relations between East and West, and played an important role in the development of human civilization. Take this trip and experience culture and history!

Kusadasi is a harbourside resort town where you may check into your hotel at your leaisure. Tonight you will be meeting your tour guide and other travelling companions. Overnight Kusadasi

Today, we will begin our journey through Ephesus by visiting the Temple of Artemis. We will then visit the house of the Virgin Mary, where we will become immersed in the mystical atmosphere of the ancient city. We will finish our tour by learning about the long history of carpet weaving in Turkey and how carpets are made by hand.

We willbegin our day by enjoying a presentation of locally made leather goods before touring the magnificent white calcium terraces of Pamukkale, where we will also visit the ancient city of Hierapolis. We will finish our morning by taking a dip among ancient columns in the hot springs, which were used in Roman times for their therapeutic powers.

Today we will visit the Sultanhani Caravansary and Mevlana Museum in Konya, which is part of the ancient Silk Road. Don't miss the optional Turkish folkloric performance tonight!
Day 5 Saturday Cappadocia, Goreme, Underground City

Cappadocia's moonlike landscape can be admired through the Goreme Valley Open Air Museum, and you can explore an extensive network of subterranean chambers.

We will visit Anitkabir, the tomb of the esteemed Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, prior to returning to Istanbul early in the morning.
