Highlights of Dubai & Abu Dhabi

Upon arrival in the United Arab Emirates, you may enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure in Dubai after being transferred from Dubai airport to your hotel for check-in.

In the morning, you will begin your Dubai sightseeing tour with a visit to the magnificent twin minaret mosque and the Jumeirah Mosque, an impressive example of modern Islamic architecture. You'll pass the Palastquater “Zabeel” and the Skyline at the Dubai Creek, then continue to Bastakiya to see the wind-blasted houses of ancient merchants. After touring the Dubai Museum, which is located in the 180-year-old Al Fahidi Fort, you will take an 'abra' (water taxi) across Dubai Creek to visit the Spice Souk and Gold Souk. Return to your hotel. (B)

After breakfast, depart for the Emirate of Sharjah, often called the cultural center of the Middle East. Your tour starts at the monumental culture roundabout before heading off to the Natural History Museum in the desert. Returning to the city, head to the Corniche with its golden Al Majara Souk, and then venture into the heart of the heritage district where the Al Naboodah House and the Al Arsa Souk provide a glimpse of the past. The tour ends at the Central Souk, brimming with a vast selection of carpets, antiques, and curios that will surely satisfy the most discriminating of shoppers. Later this afternoon, experience the sheer thrill of driving up and down the golden yellow sand in 4x4 vehicles. Drive over the high sand dunes before entering the campsite where you can relax in the tranquility of the desert and enjoy an authentic Arabian Barbeque. After the barbeque, professional dancers will demonstrate the ancient art of belly dancing. Sand boarding and Henna painting are also included. Return to Dubai. (B,D)

In the morning, you may choose between relaxing or exploring Dubai. In the evening, enjoy a sumptuous buffet dinner as you cruise along the Dubai Creek on a traditional Arabian “dhow” boat, accompanied by music and belly dancers. (B,D)

Have a hearty breakfast at your hotel before heading to Abu Dhabi, where you can see the world's largest man-made seaport. Take pictures at Sheikh Zayed's former home and visit the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, the world's third largest mosque. The tour continues to Al Bateen, home to the Royal Family's palaces. Finish your day at the world-famous Marina Mall for a shopping break before arriving at your Abu Dhabi hotel. (B)

You can do anything you want after breakfast today. You may choose to spend the entire day at the beach, take a Ferrari World tour, or visit Falcon Hospital. (B)

You can either take advantage of Dubai's excellent shopping opportunities or explore the city at your own pace if you return to Dubai. (B)
