Take a trip back in time with an guided tour of Ephesus and the Temple of Artemis today. We can also visit the house of the Virgin Mary, where we will learn about the historical and cultural significance of carpet weaving, a tradition that has been passed down for generations in Turkey. We will take a look at local leather goods this morning before driving along the Aegean coast to Pergamum, an ancient city. We will see the Acropolis of Pergamum, its magnificent temples and library, which once made Pergamum a prominent cultural and political centre. Afterwards, we will visit Troy, a legendary city north of where we are now. Overnight Canakkale (B, D)
