Today, we will drive through the wild landscapes of Çoruh Valley on our way to Artvin, where we will visit the Ishan village. Overnight Erzurum (B, L, D)

This morning we will tour the Seljuk architectural sites in Erzurum before proceeding to Kars for lunch. From there, we will travel to Ani, near the Turkish-Armenian border. We will conclude our trip in Dogubeyazit, where Mount Ararat, the tallest mountain in Anatolia, is thought to be the site where Noah's Ark landed. (B, L, D)

Prior to driving along Iran's border, take a tour of the Ishak Pasa Palace, where you will explore barren landscapes of volcanic stones. We will then proceed to Van, a town on the shores of Lake Van, the largest lake in Turkey. (B, L, D) Overnight in Van.

Today we'll tour Ahlat, Tatvan, and Bitlis, all located on the north shore of Lake Van. Late this afternoon we'll arrive in Diyarbakir, which is near the Tigris River. (B, L, D)

Hasankeyf, an ancient town and Roman ruins of Cephe's cliff top ruins, are visited in a morning drive from Mardin.

Harran's 'beehive' village houses and ancient Urfa, home of Abraham, are two places you must visit. Visit Abraham's Caves, the pool of sacred carp, and the bustling and colourful bazaar, 'City of the Prophets'.

Today, we will visit Mount Nemrut and Antiochus I's sanctuary at sunrise or sunset (depending on the season). We will stop at Ataturk Dam on the Euphrates River before visiting Eski Kahta. (B, L, D)

In Gaziantep, we tour the Archaeological Museum, which displays Zeugma mosaics from the submerged Roman city of Zeugma. We also visit Zeugma's ancient Roman fortress, which is now underwater. (B, L, D)

A morning trip to Antakya, the ancient Antioch where Jesus' disciples were first known as 'Christians,' is followed by a visit to the Mosaic Museum, one of the world's richest repositories of Roman and Byzantine mosaics. We will then proceed to Tarsus, the birthplace of Paul and the spot where Cleopatra and Mark Antony met.
